"Cactus Bread" is the name given to the cinnamon-sugar glazed desert pizza found at The Pizza Ranch chain of restaurants. While the actual Pizza Ranch recipe is a closely guarded secret, you can still make your own cactus bread at home from scratch.
Roll out 1/2 batch of pizza dough to 1/2 inch thickness, then place it on a sheet of parchment paper.
Sift 3 tbsp. of sugar and 1 tsp. of cinnamon together.
Melt 2 tbsp. of butter and brush onto the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle on the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Sift together 3 tbsp. of sugar, 3 tbsp. of sprouted flour, 1/8 tsp. of cinnamon and a dash of salt.
Soften 2 tbsp. of butter in a microwave, but do not melt it. Cut small pieces of the butter into the sifted sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Crumble the mixture on top of the dough, then let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the dough to rise.
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
Melt 1 tbsp. of butter, then whisk it together with 1tsp. of milk, 1/4 tsp. of vanilla and 3/4 cup of powdered sugar until it is a uniform glaze.
Bake the dough for 5 minutes at 500 degrees.
Remove the dough from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the glaze on top and cut to serve.
