This is an easy recipe for oven-baked bacon wrapped aspargus. Bacon adds color and flavor to the vegetable and simple substitutions save calories.

I use pre-cooked bacon because it has fewer calories and less fat than pan-fried bacon strips. You can use any variety of bacon though.

The recipe calls for no calorie spray butter by Parkay but any brand is fine...even real butter, melted, is fine to use. I prefer the Parkay in order to save calories.

Bacon wrapped asapargus is a great "go to" recipe when you want an appealing and "dressy" side item on the plate.
