How to Make an Egg Yolk Face Mask

By Kimbry Parker

Egg yolk has benefits that extend far beyond your diet. You can use an egg yolk face mask to give your skin some extra TLC. The vitamins and minerals in the yolk help to add moisture, firm and tone the skin, and can even help to heal acne. If you're looking for an all-natural alternative to over-the-counter face masks, you can easily make your own with egg yolk and a few other items in your fridge.

Step 1

Put one egg yolk into a bowl. Stir the yolk with a fork until it's blended.

Step 2

Mash 1/4 of an avocado in a separate bowl. Stir the mashed avocado into the egg yolk until uniform.

Step 3

Add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1/4 cup of oatmeal. Mix well with a spoon. Add witch hazel, a teaspoon at a time, until the mixture is thin enough to spread easily.

Step 4

Wash your face as usual with facial cleanser. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Step 5

Spread the egg yolk mixture onto your face with your hands, avoiding your eyes. Leave it on for at least 10 minutes, then rinse. Pat your face dry with a soft towel and apply moisturizer.
