Acid wash was a popular look for jeans in the '80s and is starting to make a comeback in the 2000s. It's meant to make clothing look rough and worn, but in a fashionable way. You can create an acid wash look at home with just one simple ingredient and a few minutes--and one of your T-shirts.

Wet your T-shirt in the sink or tub and squeeze out the excess moisture.

Put on a pair of rubber gloves and pour some bleach into a plastic spray bottle. Spray random areas of the T-shirt and crumple it up.

Let the bleach soak in for about 10 to 15 minutes. Smooth out the T-shirt to see if it has the right amount of bleach spots. If not, spray a few more areas, crumple it up again and wait another 5 to 10 minutes.

Put the shirt in the washer once the bleach has soaked in enough. Use a mild detergent and put the washer on a normal warm/warm cycle. Throw it in the dryer to dry, and wear.
