The Super Glue brand of glue is strong and fast-bonding, which means if you get it on your skin, it can be difficult to remove. It’s also easy to glue two fingers together accidentally as you’re working with it. Acetone will remove Super Glue from most surfaces (except glass), and it is safe for use on skin, although it may cause drying.

Things You'll Need

Soak a cotton ball with nail polish remover.

Apply the cotton ball moistened with nail polish remover directly to the Super Glue on the skin. Rub with the cotton ball until glue has been removed.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water to get the nail polish remover off. Replenish dry skin with moisturizer.

  • This should be good for super glue gotten most anywhere on skin unless it is a particularly sensitive area.
