Of all the terrible things that can happen to our bodies, one of the most embarrassing and painful cosmetic-type ailments is butt acne. The butt isn’t exposed to sunlight and fresh air very often, and we spend a lot of time sitting on it, so it is easy to understand why this area is prone to acne. Sweat, bacteria, and dead skin cells all combine to create clogged pores and deep-down irritation.
Getting rid of butt acne may be something you can do at home following the simple instructions below, or you may have to see a dermatologist and get a prescription for the breakouts.

Daily Treatment for Butt Acne

While showering, use a loofah with your regular soap product to clean the area thoroughly. The loofah will invigorate the skin while cleaning deep down in the pores. The invigoration help improve circulation which in turn will help prevent future butt acne from forming.

Apply and massage a gently exfoliating cream into the buttocks, concentrating on the affected areas. Rinse well. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells that can trap impurities and cause butt acne.

Apply an astringent such as Sea Breeze, or Clean and Clear with a cotton ball and allow to air dry. This step may sting a little bit, but just like your Mother always said about medicines that is how you know it is working. The astringent will help eliminate bacteria and sweat that can clog pores and will help heal existing breakouts while preventing future occurrences.

Repeat this process morning and evening as well as after exercising.

If you don’t see improvement in your condition after 2 weeks make an appointment with a dermatologist who will be able to recommend further treatment.
