Reap the benefits of exfoliating with Baking Soda. Summer is here and nothing is more beautiful and eye catching than great skin. Show off your prettiest face with the BEST exfoliant on the market. Baking Soda. Baking Soda you say? Yes! The whole point to exfoliating is to slough off dead skin cells creating smoother more radiant skin . Baking soda’ s natural abrasive texture combined with it’s acidic neutrality make it the best for this exfoliating process.
Things You'll Need
Add 5 teaspoons of Baking Soda to approximately 2 tablespoons of a gentle facial cleanser (I like Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser) or 2 tablespoons purified water. Mix thoroughly. The goal is to create a thick paste -so if your cleanser is thinner than what I use, feel free and add more Baking Soda to create the right the right consistency.
*If you have sensitive skin use less Baking Soda
Add a bit of the paste to your pre-moistened face-starting on your forehead. Massage lightly into the skin with a damp washcloth using circular motions. Next move to one cheek, the other cheek, nose, and finally the chin. You should be spending about 1 minute on each area. Add more paste as needed.
When you have finished massaging the cleanser/Baking Soda mixture into your skin rinse your face thoroughly with tepid water. Pat dry. Don’t rub your face dry as this can irritate skin and deprive it of the needed moisture it absorbs from water. Follow with your normal moisturizer.
For Maximum benefit exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week.
Add an extra teaspoon or 2 of Baking Soda to the purified water or facial cleanser and use the combination to exfoliate your feet.
If your face looks red after you exfoliate, use this treatment at night so your skin has a chance to calm while you sleep.
