Leather is used in everything from shoes to jackets, and comes in a variety of different finishes. To clean leather, you have a few different options, and one of them — particularly with patent leather — is to use Windex. The glass cleaner is able to cut through heavy dirt and grime on the item, bringing it back to its original look. Windex can be used on such products as a patent leather purse.
Dampen one of the cloth rags using some water. Wipe down the outside of the purse using the damp rag to take off any surface fingerprints and smudges.
Spray the purse with the Windex. Wipe away the Windex using the paper towels, applying pressure to remove any stubborn dirt or grease.
Buff out the purse with a cotton rag to bring back the shine to the leather.
