Fill a bowl or basin with warm water.
Add a mild detergent such as Ivory Flakes to make the water sudsy.
Set the faux pearls in the water, making sure that they are completely submerged.
Use your hands to swirl the pearls around in the water.
Rinse the pearls under warm running water.
Set the pearls on a soft clean dry cloth.
Fold the cloth over onto itself and gently pat the pearls dry to absorb as much of the moisture as possible.
Unfold the towel and leave the pearls there until they are completely dry.
Wipe the pearls with a soft, clean, dry cloth after each time you wear them to remove residual perfume and makeup.
