A simple toasted slice of bread that can be the beginning of gourmet dips, sauces and salads.

Things You'll Need

Preheat oven to 350F, place bread slices on the baking sheet.

Brush each with olive oil.

Bake until crisp and lightly golden, usually about 10 minutes. Serve with almost anything, for example dips, salads, sandwich condiments, or plain.


  • Drop a crushed clove of garlic in the olive oil for extra flavor.

  • The possibilities are endless, spinach dips…tomato salads…sauteed mushrooms.
