MAC Studio Fix is a line of cosmetic foundation with powder and liquid versions. Studio fix offers more than 30 different shades of skin tones and options with built-in sunscreen protection. Although Studio Fix can be used alone, it's often recommended that it be applied in conjunction with foundation primers and skin cremes to prevent your pores from being clogged. Studio Fix retails in the $26 range, as of January 2011.

Cleanse your face thoroughly and apply a moisturizer suitable for use with makeup. Using a moisturizer with SPF will protect your skin from the sun and safeguard against age lines around your face and eyes.

Apply foundation primer. Set a small amount of primer on the powder brush and smooth an even layer across your face. If you have oily skin, stick to oil-free primers to prevent breakouts.

Apply the Studio Fix Foundation. Dip a light amount of foundation on the brush and sweep your face in sections. Set the brush with more foundation as necessary, until your entire face is covered evenly. Be sure to apply foundation to your hairline for a natural, "non-mask" appearance. Apply another layer of foundation if desired.

Less is more. Be careful of applying too much foundation, which can appear "cakey" and unnatural.
