"It's important to have raw vegetables because it has live enzymes and we don't get enough of that," says Elissa. "Protein, healthy fat, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, it's a perfect meal!"

Always keep on-hand:

  • Cooked quinoa
  • Beans (Black, Chickpea, Lentils)
  • Jicama (for crunch!)
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumber
  • Arugula
  • Chopped romaine
  • Dandelion greens (major detoxifier!)
  • Avocado
  • Nuts
  • Seeds

Elissa's Detox Salad Dressing

You'll need:

  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Basil
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Throw a handful of your herbs into a blender
  2. Add a splash of apple cider vinegar, olive oil, chopped garlic and a pinch of sea salt
  3. Adjust to desired consistency and flavor
