Smoothies are not only the perfect cool-down on a hot day, but they are also jam-packed with nutrients ideal for rebooting your system after the long winter: think of it as a sort of post-hibernation reset. Here are three recipes that will meet all your springtime smoothie needs.

  1. Post Workout Recovery

After a long workout, you want a smoothie that will help you recover and help build muscle. With this smoothie, you can count on feeling great.

  • 1 Banana
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Butter
  • 1 Tsp Coconut Oil
  • 2 Scoops protein powder (of your choice - we prefer vanilla flavored for this recipe)
  • ¼ Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 1 tsp Turmeric (turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, so this is perfect after a long run)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Combine all ingredients and blend for three minutes in a Vitamix or blender.

2.  Brain Booster

Start your day with this smoothie and your mind will be in wonderful shape! Blueberries have memory-boosting antioxidants, and a leafy and iron-packed green like kale keeps you sharp.

  • 1 cup Blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 2 cups Kale (leaves removed from stems)
  • 1 cup Coconut water
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup Pomegranate juice
  • 1 tsp Ashwagandha
  • 1 tbsp Almond butter
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds

Combine all ingredients and blend in a Vitamix or blender for 3 minutes.

3. The Energizer

Good for mornings, or when you hit that midday slump, this smoothie is full of energy-boosting greens and matcha green tea.
