To create crispy frozen French fries without having to cook them in a deep fryer, toss them with oil prior to oven-baking them. Simply placing the French fries into a preheated oven may be easier and less messy than using a pot or deep fryer filled with hot oil. The oil coating will give the French fries a golden appearance and a crispy texture without saturating them with grease and extra fat.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a piece of foil over a metal baking sheet.
Spray the fries in a bag evenly with an olive oil-based cooking spray, which will give them a crispier texture. Shake the bag to coat all of the fries with the oil. Omit this step if you prefer softer, less-crispy fries.

Spread the fries out on the foil-covered baking sheet in single layer. Cover the entire sheet with fries without overlapping any. Sprinkle the fries with any seasoning to taste.
Bake the fries for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
