Applying bronzer on your face enhances a natural tan or gives you color in the winter months. Cream bronzer benefits dry skin because it soaks in and won’t flake off like a powder. When you use cream bronzer, it’s important that you blend well and layer complementary colors on top.
Things You'll Need
Exfoliate your skin with a gentle exfoliator before applying cream bronzer. Exfoliate all parts of your body where you’ll use cream bronzer such as your face, neck, chest and shoulders.
Apply a tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation so your color won’t be too dark. If your skin is tan, you can use a plain moisturizer or apply only the cream bronzer.
Use a sponge, or your fingers, for the smoothest application of cream bronzer. Bronzer isn’t foundation and shouldn’t be applied all over your face. Use bronzer where the sun naturally tans your face such as the bridge of your nose, cheeks and chin.
Rub the cream bronzer on in circular motions, blending the color in well with your natural skin tone.
Add cream bronzer to your neck so your neck and face match in color. Create a faux glow on the rest of your body by applying the bronzer to your shoulders and chest. This works especially well if you’re wearing a strapless or low cut top.
Create an extra glow with a light pink or coral blush layered on top of the cream bronzer. Use it lightly on the apples of your cheeks or brush it lightly on your shoulders.
Use neutral colored lipsticks and eye shadows with bronzer. This enhances the suntan look and won’t make you look clownish.
Choose a bronzer within two shades of your natural skin tone.
