Switch to an herbal shampoo containing tea-tree oil, shea butter and urea. These ingredients are important for healthy hair and provide additional moisturizing benefits. Herbal shampoos are found at beauty-supply stores and hair salons.
Choose a conditioner compatible with your shampoo. After shampooing, rub the conditioner into your scalp and hairline for extra moisture.
Rinse your hair and scalp thoroughly after shampooing and conditioning. Leftover shampoo and conditioner can leave a residue on your scalp and hairline that appears to be flaky skin.
