Rubbing alcohol, also known as isopropyl alcohol, has many uses. It is an excellent disinfectant as it destroys bacteria. When you mix rubbing alcohol with water in a bag and place it in a freezer, the water cannot freeze solid, and you've created an excellent ice pack. Rubbing alcohol is excellent for cutting grease, so you can use it to remove makeup such as lipstick and oily foundation. You can also use it to remove nail polish.

Rinse your face and hands with clean water to remove any makeup residue you can rinse away.

Pour enough rubbing alcohol onto a cotton ball to moisten it.

Pat and gently rub the cotton ball over any parts of your face that have oily makeup residue on from lipstick and foundation. Wet the cotton ball again and repeat until you've removed the makeup.

Wet a new cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and gently rub it over your nails to remove nail polish. Use additional cotton balls and alcohol as needed.

Wash your face and hands with a moisturizing soap after swabbing with alcohol to remove it along with any remaining makeup.

Warning

Do not use rubbing alcohol around your eyes; it will burn and possibly damage them. Rubbing alcohol can dry out your skin.
