It is easy to neglect your toenails, leaving them in the hands of your pedicurist every few months. Just like fingernails, however, toenails need regular care and moisture. Dry toenails will break and crack, causing discomfort and looking worse for wear even with a coat of polish. Give your toenails a pampering for sandal-ready feet all year round.

Mix together 1/2 cup of coconut oil and 1/2 cup of brown sugar in a bowl. Coconut oil is ultra-hydrating, as well as antifungal. Brown sugar will help to scrub away dirt and oil.

Fill a small basin with warm water. Add 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil to the water. Vitamin E soothes skin and strengthens brittle nails.

Sit in a comfortable chair and soak your feet in the water for 10 minutes.

Dip your fingertips into the scrub and massage it over your feet, one by one. Concentrate on your nail beds and the area surrounding your toenails.

Place your feet back in the water for 1 minute to rinse them. Step out of the basin and gently pat your feet dry with a clean towel.

Pull on a pair of clean cotton socks and head to bed. The moisture from the oils and shea butter will sink in overnight, leaving your nails hydrated come morning.
