If you're watching your sugar intake or are just trying to cut calories, you've probably resigned yourself to the fact that cake and frosting are not going to be in your meal plan. But instead of reserving these treats for special days only, why not try to make them healthier and with less calories? Most of the sugar -- and calories -- in a frosted cake comes from the icing. You can make creamy sugar-free icing in any flavor you want, so now you'll be able to indulge whenever you want.
In a bowl, pour 1 1/2 cups of milk. Add the pudding.
Using your whisk, whisk the pudding until it is well-blended and there are no lumps.
Place the pudding in the refrigerator for five minutes, or until set.
Once the pudding is set, take the 2 cups of frozen whipped topping, and gently fold it into the pudding until blended.
Frost cake as usual.
