Cosmetics companies like Lipchic and Benefit sell products that seal your lipstick to make it smudge-proof. These sealers can cost anywhere from $12 to $30, which is a big expense when you consider that you paid the same amount for that tube of lipstick. Fortunately, you can make your own lipstick sealer for less than a penny.

Step 1

Apply the chosen lipstick.

Step 2

Get an ice cube from the freezer and hold it between your index finger and thumb.

Step 3

Rub the ice cube over your lips to seal the color.
