An AMF cocktail, known less politely as an Adios Mother-F*er, is a cocktail with a bit of a surprise. While an AMF is still a very strong cocktail, it is actually a Long Island iced tea cocktail. The difference is an AMF cocktail substitutes blue curacao for the triple sec found in a Long Island iced tea. This gives the drink an appealing bright blue color.

Sweet & Sour Mix

  • Sugar
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

AMF Cocktail

  • Vodka
  • Gin
  • Rum
  • Tequila
  • Blue Curacao
  • Sweet & sour mix
  • Lemon-lime soda

Sweet & Sour Mix

  1. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring the mixture to dissolve the sugar and create a simple syrup. Once the sugar is dissolved, let the mixture cool.
  2. Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup lime juice to a jar or bottle. If pulp bothers you, strain the juice before adding it to your container.
  3. Mix in the cooled simple syrup with the citrus juices and stir or shake to combine. Keep the sweet & sour mix refrigerated until you're ready to use it, though it does not to be chilled before adding it to the AMF cocktail.

AMF Cocktail

  1. Fill a pint or highball glass with ice.
  2. Add 1/2 ounce each of the liquors (vodka, gin, rum, tequila and blue curacao to the glass).
  3. Pour in sweet and sour mix almost to the top of the glass.
  4. Add a splash of lemon-lime soda to the top and enjoy.
