Heat cans of whole kernel sweet corn thoroughly for full flavor. Commercially canned corn likely has added salt and sugar, which you should rinse away before heating for the most natural corn flavor.
Open a can of whole kernel sweet corn using a can opener.
Pour the contents of the can into a colander over the sink.
Rinse the corn with running water.
Transfer the corn to a saucepan or microwave safe bowl.
Bring the corn to a boil over medium heat. Alternatively, microwave the corn, covered for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes on high power.
Serve the corn with optional butter, salt and pepper, if desired.
