How To Cook Frozen Crab Meat

Crab meat is a delicate seafood with a bit of a sweet taste. It can be eaten alone or served in dips, salads, and soups. Use these tips to cook some of the best frozen crab meat you've ever had!

Cooking Frozen Crab Meat

Boil

Fill a pot with the crab(s), water, and either one tablespoon vinegar or one tablespoon salt. Bring to a heavy boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 20 to 25 minutes. Serve.

Steam

Put about two cups of water and one tablespoon salt or vinegar into a pot with a rack in the bottom. Bring to a steady boil. Place the crabs on the rack. A pre-cooked crab will take between five and 10 minutes to steam. You could also use a steamer.

Bake

Break open the crab and baste it with butter and seasoning. Bake in an oven pre-heated to 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Microwave

Wrap the crab in moist paper towels. Microwave on high for about three minutes.
