A good night's sleep leaves you refreshed, but disturbing lines and wrinkles that cascade across your face from your pillow hugging your cheeks throughout the night is something you want to get rid of as quickly as possible. Some simple strategies can be applied to reduce and eliminate these sleep lines quickly. From prevention to treatment, those sinister-looking lines can be gone for good.

Prevent sleep lines from appearing by sleeping on your back with support pillows around your body to stop you from rolling onto your stomach. If you tend to sleep on your stomach, those superficial lines can become more permanent, so prevention is key to stopping lines from developing at all.

Massage the areas gently, and tap the skin repeatedly over the wrinkled folds until they begin to fade away. This increases circulation to the skin's surface, allowing the blood flow to fill in the skin wrinkles quickly. Massage increases the circulation where pressure is applied, and brings fluid up to the skin's surface.

Jump up and down. Do a few jumping jacks or take a morning jog. Getting your heart rate going will pump blood around the body and through the face to promote good circulation to all the skin cells. The blood flow will support filling in the skin wrinkles that developed while you were sleeping.

Apply cooled green or white tea bags under your eyes and over the wrinkles on your skin. The caffeine and antioxidant properties of these teas stimulate as a vasoconstrictor, an antioxidant and a diuretic, suggests "Allure" magazine. The reaction plumps the skin affected by the caffeine, reducing the appearance of superficial wrinkles.
