The great thing about hairstyles is that they can be worn to either enhance or play downplay certain features. If you have a large or prominent nose, there are ways to draw attention away from it and instead enhance your eyes, lips or cheekbones. To draw attention away from your nose, avoid short hair as well as flat hair with no volume.

Wavy

Volume around the face draws attention away from your nose. Long, wavy hair with layers will not only disguise a long or wide nose, but it's versatile as well. The shortest layers should be longer than bangs would be, and you should avoid bangs if at all possible. Add layers throughout the hair, and use hot rollers, a curling iron or a straightener to create subtle waves.

Half-Up

Sweeping the hair back from your face will balance a large nose. Pulling the hair half-up, leaving the bottom half down is great if your hair is at least shoulder-length or longer. Pull the hair back starting at around your ears. Don't pull it back too tightly, as you want to keep some volume around your face. Secure the hair at the crown of your head or lower depending on your preference using.

Long and straight

Long, straight hair is almost universally flattering. The length of the hair will help disguise your nose, so aim for hair that reaches the middle of the back with long side bangs. Make sure that the hair is not flat with no volume. Create volume using a voluminizing spray, a hair dryer and a round brush while styling your hair. The long bangs should not be across your forehead, as a blunt line can highlight a large nose. Instead, brush them to the side and off your forehead.
