There are certain breakfast delicacies that always seem more intimidating than they actually are, like crepes. A very thin pancake, popular in French cuisine that is super light and can hold numerous flavor profiles. It’s an impressive dish to whip up for weekend brunch guests, or simply a good item to keep in your fridge for on-the-go week day breakfasts! Here’s how to make crepes & 3 recipes to try:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted + for more cooking
3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tbsp sugar

1 over easy egg
Flakey sea salt
Raspberries (mashed)
Maple syrup
Chocolate hazelnut butter (like Justin’s)
Melted chocolate, to drizzle


  1. In a blender, add: all-purpose flour, eggs, unsalted butter, almond milk and sugar. Blend until well-mixed.
  2. In a pan over medium-heat, add: 1/2 tsp butter and once hot, 1/4 cup of the batter. Move batter around until it’s a thin layer.
  3. Flip when bubbles form!
  4. For savory: add 1 over easy egg, chives + sea salt. For berry: add mashed raspberries + light drizzle of maple syrup, top with fresh raspberries. For chocolate: add 1 packet of Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter (or equivalent) and drizzle melted chocolate on top
