Shampoo is a hygiene product, designed to help us stay clean and healthy. However, some shampoos contain dangerous chemicals, such as formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane, both known carcinogens. Fortunately, shampoos are available that are free of harmful chemicals and carcinogens. They’re a little harder to find than mass market shampoos, but worth the extra effort.
