Although wrinkles themselves are not dangerous or painful in any way, many individuals do not like what they represent: aging. One of the most noticeable places wrinkles can be found is under the eyes. If you wish to remove or reduce the appearance of the wrinkles under your eyes, you can use all-natural methods verses harsh chemical peels or dangerous Botox injections.
Things You'll Need
Eat a healthy diet full of antioxidant-rich foods, and exercise on a regular basis. This will not only prevent damage from free radicals, but it will keep your skin elastic so that wrinkles are not visible.
Consume between eight and ten 8-ounce glasses of water each day. Water keeps the skin hydrated so that it remains elastic. Dry skin cracks and breaks, making the appearance of wrinkles under the eye evident.
Pierce a vitamin E capsule with a pin and squeeze the contents under your eyes. Vitamin E works to naturally form collagen, which fills in wrinkles. Vitamin E is also a great moisturizer.
Rip a paper towel sheet in half. Soak both halves in some whole milk. Place the paper towels over your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes before bedtime. Not only will the cold milk help reduce any bags you may have under your eyes, but the milk contains natural alpha hydroxy acids that will gently peel away dead skin to reveal the healthy skin that is less wrinkly.
Reduce your stress level. Stress causes premature aging, including wrinkles under the eyes. Stress can be reduced with some alone time, cutting back on extra activities, obtaining necessary counseling or even switching jobs.
Sleep on your back instead of with your face buried in a pillow. This will help stop the early formation of new wrinkles.
