The wrap dress is a favored dress style among women of all ages and sizes. Because the wrap dress can be worn in so many different ways, it can flatter every figure type. Whether the wrap dress is accessorized for a formal occasion or worn with fun accessories for an informal look, the wrap dress is a popular choice for any day of the week.

Things You'll Need

Strapless Dress

Hold the wrap dress by the side strings centered in front of you at waist level.

Wrap the dress around behind you and pull each side string around your opposite side to completely encircle your hip area with the wrap dress. Bring the strings around to your center front and tie the strings in a double bow. Both layers of the wrap dress will be hanging down toward your knees.

Pull the shorter layer of the wrap dress up to your chest area.

Pull the ends of the shorter layer snugly under your arms to your center back area and tie the ends behind your back in a double knot to create a strapless halter.

Add a separate belt around the waist if desired.

Halter Wrap Dress

Hold the wrap dress by the side strings behind you so that it is centered behind your back.

Tie the strings together at the ends in a bow. This will leave excess string between the edges of the wrap dress and the point where the strings are tied together.

Place the tied bow behind your neck. The two layers of the wrap dress will be flowing down on each of your sides.

Grasp the inside layer on one side and pull it across your front. Slip it behind the opposite fabric coming down from behind your neck.

Pull the other inside layer from the opposite side and pull it across your front toward the opposite side. Tie this layer to the outside dress layer from behind your back under this arm, snugly in a double knot.

Adjust the dress for comfort.

Flouncy Dress

Hold the wrap dress by the side strings behind you so that it is centered behind your back.

Pull each side string around your front, crossing it over and meeting the strings together behind your neck. Tie the strings securely behind your neck.

Grasp the two outer layers at each side and bring them together at your center front. Tie them in a snug double knot to finish.
