Moroccan oil, otherwise known as argan oil, is an oil traditionally sourced and made by the local Berber women of Morocco. There is a wonderful history to this oil. King Mohammed VI, considered to be a great proponent of women’s rights, encourages the production of argan oil by promoting the export of the oil, as well as by helping to finance a system where the women can work half days and still have time for their families. The oil is prized for its medicinal and beautifying properties. Try this facial using argan oil for a luxurious experience.
Things You'll Need
Make an easy exfoliating rub by putting barley in the coffee grinder and grinding it to a fine powder. Mix a bit of the powder with a drop or two of argan oil in the palm of your hand and rub on your face, gently circling around forehead, sides of the face, and cheekbones.
Rinse face. Mix a bit of green clay with argan oil and place on face. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with chamomile tea soaked towels.
Place a small amount of argan oil in the palm of the hand. Use the fingertips of the other hand to dip into the oil and rub in gentle motions on face. Start on the forehead above the eyes and use smooth strokes along the bone above the eye. Continue around the eye bone, allowing the argan oil to penetrate the skin.
Use smooth strong strokes along the forehead. Place index fingers in the middle of forehead and work outwards. Next, apply a small amount of argan oil to fingertips and use circling motions on cheekbones, continuing down to the chin. Argan oil can be used to smooth out skin tone and contains large amount of vitamin E, nourishing the face.
