Using mint

Pick or buy mint at the last possible moment before you need to use it.

Pinch off mint leaves at the base of the leaf. Add mint just before serving to keep it fresh.

Tear mint leaves with your fingers. Never use a knife or scissors.

Store fresh mint in a jar of water in the refrigerator. Cover the mint loosely with plastic wrap.
