If you have sticky body wax on your hands for hair removal, you can get rid of the wax with just a few common household items. Body wax removes body hair quickly, but it can remain on your hands for many days. The wax residue can make common tasks irritating, and it can interfere with your daily routine.

Things You'll Need

Soak a clean washcloth in warm water. Scrub the washcloth over your hands to remove any excess wax.

Fill a bowl large enough for both your hands with warm water. Place a few drops of liquid dish detergent and a little lemon juice in the bowl, and soak your hands for five to ten minutes.

Add a dime-size amount of baby oil to your hands. Rub your hands together to remove leftover wax.

Apply your preferred hand lotion three times a day. Continue to soak your hands and use baby oil if you still notice traces of body wax on your hands.

Purchase a commercial wax removal liquid. If the wax will not budge and it continues to irritate your hands, purchase a commercial removal product at your local health and beauty supply store.
