Most people do not find an uneven, hyperpigmented skin tone to be attractive. Overexposure to the sun can be the cause, which prompts your skin to overproduce melanin. This can cause a red or brown blotchy look to the face. The good news is there are some things you can do to reduce the pigmentation on your face.

Things You'll Need

Grate orange peels with a grater until they are in a powder form. Add about the same amount of yogurt and mix together with a spoon. Spread onto the dark parts of your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Soak five shelled raw almonds overnight in warm water. Mix these with 2 tbsp. of honey. Put into a food processor or crush with a mortar and pestle to make a paste. Dampen your skin and apply the paste on the dark areas. Allow to sit until it dries on your skin. Rinse off with water.

Puree a potato in a food processor until almost liquefied. Put the mixture on your skin every day to lighten it.

Purchase and use a lightening skin cream. Make sure you buy your lightening or skin bleaching cream from a reputable dealer to make sure it doesn’t contain hydroquinone or other potentially harmful chemicals.
