Of course, the factors affecting one's hair growth or loss vary according to the individual and must take into account such things as age, diet, heredity and lifestyle factors. However, a customized essential-oil formula can have a dramatic effect.

In a study published in the "Archives of Dermatology," Isabelle C. Hay, a scientist at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland had 84 people suffering from hair loss rub essential oils onto their scalps. After a seven-month regime, 44 percent of the study participants regrew half of the amount of hair lost and 12 percent regrew nearly all of the hair lost.

Use the eyedropper to place the desired amount of oils in the mixing bottle; shake well. Before bed and while wearing the gloves, massage the concoction into your scalp in a circular motion for at least two minutes.

Wrap your head turban style in a warm towel, secure with bobby pins and leave on for six to eight hours or overnight.

In the morning wash hair with a mild shampoo and finish with conditioner.
