How to Mix an Amaretto Stone Sour Cocktail

By Andrea Palmer

An Amaretto stone sour cocktail contains equal parts Amaretto (an almond-flavored Italian liqueur), sour mix and orange juice for a tangy-yet-sweet dessert cocktail. You can serve this drink year round with meals or rich desserts, with or without ice. It is typically served in a highball glass, but if you don't use ice you can serve it in a cocktail glass.

Step 2

Pour 2 ounces of Amaretto into the highball glass. Amaretto adds the sweetness to this dessert cocktail so it doesn't taste too sour, so it's important to get this measurement correct.
