Spinach is a dish you typically have to force kids to eat, but this new recipe is guaranteed to please even the pickiest of eaters! With a touch of lemon and garlic, your kids will devour this dish. Recipe serves 4.
Things You'll Need
Rinse spinach in a colander and allow to drain.
Peel and slice garlic.
Heat butter over medium heat in a saucepan.
Add garlic to saucepan and cook about 7 minutes, or until garlic is tender.
Add spinach and water, and cover for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to allow all flavors to mix.
Reduce heat to low and squeeze half a lemon into the saucepan. Stir and cover for additional 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve. Squeeze the lemon juice on the spinach once you have plated it. Enjoy!
Carmelized onions or garlic add a sweet and savory flavor to this dish.
Cut lemon in half and squeeze with the open side of the lemon in the palm of your hand. This will prevent lemon seeds from falling into the spinach.
