If you love pizza, you should try making your own with pie at home with homemade dough and custom toppings. Get the whole family in on the fun; they’ll love decorating their very own pizza with their favorite meats and veggies.

Things You'll Need

Dissolve a package of active yeast in the warm water in a large bowl. Stir in the oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Beat on medium speed for three minutes.

Stir in the remaining flour until a soft dough is formed. You should be able to form the dough into a ball. Place the ball of dough on the counter, and knead the dough until it has the consistency of elastic — about five minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl that has been coated with oil.

Cover the dough, and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Divide the dough in half, and roll each section out on a floured surface until you have a 13-inch circle. Place the dough on two 12-inch pizza pans.

Bake the crusts in a 375-degree-Fahrenheit oven for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Spread your favorite sauce on the crust, and top with the toppings of your choice. Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
