If your lips have a dark tint to them, due either to the natural color of your lips or from staining due to cigarette or coffee use, there are several techniques you can incorporate to lighten the lips’ pigmentation. Lighter lip color will help your features look more natural and allow any lipstick or gloss you’re using to show its true color. The lightening techniques require a few materials, some of which you may already have on hand.
Things You'll Need
Mix two teaspoons of lemon juice with one teaspoon of honey, then rub mix over your lips. Let sit for 10 minutes then rinse off. Repeat this three times a week.
Grind a few coriander leaves with a mortar and pestle, extracting the juice from the leaves. Rub the coriander oil over your lips and leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse off. Repeat this a few times a week.
Drink a glass of milk once a day. The milk will help remove dark staining occurring from caffeine and cigarette use.
Rub almond oil onto your lips a number of times throughout the day. Pure almond oil lightens pigment.
