On a hot summer day, if you’re planning on being outside for a picnic or barbecue, a pitcher of a refreshing drink such as iced tea will keep everyone cool. Not only is iced tea an ideal drink to cool you down, tea is full of antioxidants. If you don’t add any sugar, it’s calorie-free. One of the more popular tea brands, Lipton offers large-sized tea bags, perfect for brewing large batches of tea.

Things You'll Need

Bring the 8 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.

Add the teabags and allow it to brew for three to five minutes.

Remove the teabags and add sugar to your taste.

Allow the tea to cool to lukewarm temperature before pouring it into a pitcher. Chill in the refrigerator.

  • If you need the iced tea to cool quickly, boil only 4 cups of water and add 6 cups of ice to the tea after brewing.

  • Add sliced lemon to the iced tea for a more lemony flavor.
