Chocolate syrup is a favorite on ice cream, fruits and cakes and even in milk. You may not always have a pre-made container in the refrigerator waiting for you when the craving strikes, but you can make your own out of ingredients you likely have on hand. In just a few minutes, and in just a few steps, you can create a warm homemade version of chocolate sauce that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Things You'll Need
Combine the 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 4 tablespoons of cocoa, 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 cup of milk in a saucepan.
Whisk the ingredients together to thoroughly combine them. Place the saucepan on the stove and turn on the heat to medium. Continue stirring until the mixture comes to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from heat. The mixture will thicken as it cools.
You can serve the chocolate sauce immediately warm or store it in a plastic container in the refrigerator until it is needed.
