Coconut oil and carrot moisturizer is a simple, homemade moisturizer that can be made in less than 20 minutes. Combining natural ingredients that can easily be found at many drug and most health food stores or online, coconut oil and carrot moisturizer will help dry, parched skin regain necessary essential oils, particularly in the fall and winter months when dry air and cold temperatures tend to damage the skin. This recipe makes enough moisturizer for about one month of daily use.
Things You'll Need
Pour the coconut oil into a small mixing bowl.
Add the vitamin E cream and carrot seed essential oil and mix together with a wooden spoon or disposable stirrer.
Using a clean plastic funnel, transfer the coconut oil and carrot seed moisturizer to a clean glass bottle with tight-fitting top.
Let the moisturizer sit at room temperature for 24 hours before first use to combine. Shake gently before each use.
Apply the moisturizer by working it into dry, damaged skin in tight circles with clean hands.
Store the moisturizer in a cool, dry place to prolong the shelf-life of the product.
