Step 1: Combine the Eggs and Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl stir together the cocoa powder, cornstarch, sugar, salt, and eggs. Set aside.

Step 2: Heat the Milk and Cream

In a saucepan, heat the milk and cream until it’s just starting to bubble around the edges.

Step 3: Combine the Milk with the Cocoa

Whisk the milk into the cocoa powder mixture until well combined.

Step 4: Return to the Saucepan

Return the mixture to the saucepan, add the chocolate chips and vanilla, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until very thick. About 4 minutes.

Step 5: Cool, Chill, Then Serve

Allow to cool slightly and then pour into a storage container. Press plastic wrap or wax paper onto the surface to prevent a skin from forming at the top. Transfer to serving dishes prior to serving.
