Use cake mix and chocolate to make homemade bon bons. Devil’s food, chocolate, red velvet and German chocolate cake mixes work well with this recipe. You also can use a cake brownie recipe. Pair the type of chocolate you use with the cake flavor. For example, all types of chocolate pair well with Devil’s Food, chocolate and red velvet cakes. White chocolate does not taste as good with German chocolate cake.

Grease the cake pan. Bake the cake according to the directions.
Flip the cake over onto a cooling rack.
Break the cake into small chunks into a clean mixing bowl. Stir in marshmallow cream.
Fill the bottom portion of the double boiler 3/4 full with water. Place it on a stove burner. Set the burner to low heat. Place the other piece of the double boiler on top of the bottom part.
Break up chocolate and place inside the top portion of the double boiler. Melt. Turn off burner.
Tear off a sheet of wax paper. Place it on a large, flat surface such as a countertop or table.
Scoop a ball of the cake and marshmallow cream onto a spoon and dip in the chocolate. Remove from the chocolate once it is coated, Place on the wax paper. Repeat with all the cake bites. Let dry before eating.
