Bangs can soften your look, giving your hair a casual and fun frame around your face. Although any bang style has a trendy appeal, there may be times when you want to keep your bangs out of your face. Go for a minimal appearance by pulling your bangs back. You have several options for creating this sleek style, to keep your face free of bangs.
Things You'll Need
Comb or brush your bangs to detangle, and make them smooth and sleek. Place a small dollop of mousse into your hand and apply the mousse to your bangs to add some texture and prevent flyaways.
Smooth your bangs back away from your face and slip the elastic headband onto your head. Look in the mirror to adjust the headband, making sure the headband pulls your hair back smoothly around your ears. Arrange your bangs under the headband so they lie flat.
Spray your hair lightly with hairspray to hold the style.
Bobby Pins or Clips
Comb or brush your bangs. Place a small dollop of mousse into your hand and apply the mousse to your bangs to add some texture and prevent flyaways.
Gather your bangs together and pull them all straight back from your face.
Twist the gathered bangs two or three times, to make them tight against your scalp.
Secure your bangs back from your face with two bobby pins, placed in an “X” or with a small clip.
Spray your hair lightly with hairspray to keep your bangs neat.
