How to make your hair healthy, shine and thicker takes some simple steps and consistency. Try these old fashioned remedies for a few weeks to make your hair healthy.

Things You'll Need

Getting shine back in your hair could be as simple as changing your shampoo.
Some shampoos are too alkaline and upset the ph balance of your head. As we age the acid production slows and can result in dull hair.
Try to only use conditioner on your ends because the conditioner could dull your hair and build up.

Mix one egg yolk with two teaspoons kerosene and one teaspoon lemon juice. Work into your hair and leave on for 15 minutes.

Wash your hair with fresh birch sap.

Massage rosemary oil into your scalp every day. Make rosemary oil with grapeseed oil and let sit in the sun in a jar for 6 weeks before using.
Rosemary oil and rosemary tea is used to darken gray hair.

Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a quart of warm water as a final rinse to restore the acid balance of your hair.

As a final rinse to keep the color in your hair add strong rosemary tea for brunettes, chamomile tea for blondes, and henna for red heads mixed with 1 cup of boiling water, cool and then rinse on hair.

Egg yolk adds shine to your hair. Add a raw egg to your shampoo.

Eat lots of foods with rich antioxidants. Drink lots of water. Exercise.
