Why spend hours laying out in the yard or baking in a tanning bed? Instead you can easily fake a suntan using all natural products right in your kitchen.

Faking a tan is much healthier than trying to get an actual suntan. Sun exposure for long amounts of time can lead to wrinkles, freckles, and possible skin cancer.

Things You'll Need

First using 3 cups sugar and 3 tablespoons of vanilla extract mix it thoroughly in a plastic bowl. Take the plastic bowl into the shower with you and use the sugar scrub to exfoliate dead skin. Rinse off the scrub with warm water. You are now ready for the next step. The sugar scrub prepares your skin for the faux tan solution.

You can achieve a faux tan using either the cinnamon method or the tea bag method. The cinnamon method involves adding 3 Tablespoons of ground cinnamon to your favorite unscented lotion. Shake the lotion bottle vigorously to make sure it is mixed entirely. You may need a friend to make sure that the cinnamon lotion is applied evenly to your back.

You will need 5-6 tea bags, a large coffee cup or small saucepan, a wide sponge paintbrush, and possibly a friend to apply solution to your back.

Brew the tea for ten-twenty minutes while you are in shower during the first step. Let the water cool or simply add half a cup of cooler water. When the tea water is lukewarm, dip the foam paintbrush into the tea solution and paint the tan onto your skin until you have reached the desired depth of your faux tan. Let it dry thoroughly before dressing.
