Cat eye makeup regained popularity in 2008 when many celebrities, including Angelina Jolie and Amy Winehouse, began wearing the style. The cat eye consists of a curved line extending from the corner of the eyelid. Many women enjoy cat eye style eyeliner because it elongates their eyes and is a break from their normal eyeliner routine. Applying cat eye makeup is simple and takes only a few minutes.
Things You'll Need
Sharpen your eyeliner pencil so there are no dull edges. Wash your face to rid your skin of dead cells or leftover makeup residue.
Place the index finger of your non-dominant hand 1/4 inch from the outside corner of your left eye. Gently push your finger upward, so that the skin between the corner of your eye and your finger slants upward.
Draw a line close to your lashes that begins at the corner of your eye and extends to your finger.
Close your left eye. Thicken the cat eye by retracing to line, starting at the outside edge and extending back to the top of your eyelid.
Repeat steps two through four on your right eye.
Line your lower eyelids beneath your bottom lash lines.
